Objectives

This project aims to enhance capacity related to Tanzania's coastal ecosystem integrity, economy, food security and sustainable livelihoods for communities by educating students and generating new knowledge and uptake of research results for improved fisheries governance.

 

Scope

  • Strengthen postgraduate degree programmes focusing on fisheries and related disciplines in participating institutions in Tanzania

  • Strengthen educational and research capacities of students and staff.

  • Increase production of high-quality research, dissemination and uptake of evidence-based research

  • Strengthen South-South-North partnerships and with regional organizations and other relevant organizations/partners working on similar issues.
